Today's review brought to you not only by me but also ms.Ng (´ڡ`)

All in all, we had an awesome yummylicious meal!
 (⌒▽⌒)♡
p.s// They use slow juicer (I think it was Hurom brand) for their fruit juices! So drink away!

I love fried chicken in general and this did not disappoint! At all!
No surprises why they are called Korean No.1 Fried Chicken!

Honestly, the only thing missing was a cup of ice cold beer hahahaha
Esp to counter the Hot Spice flavour  O_O

Also, if you watched "My Love from The Star", this was the fried chicken
that always appears inside.

Oh yes!

Front Page Sports Bar & Grill @ Changkat, Kuala Lumpur

The other day, Caroline so generously invited ah pek & me to go for a bar review at Changkat! (⌒▽⌒)♡
Honestly at first, I was a bit skeptical cause...of the name....?

Front Page Sports Bar & Grill

It was such a vague name & wasn't sure what to expect... (・_・ )

But the moment I saw the real thing, I was pleasantly surprised!! It looks quite quirky in it's own lil way!!

With it's interesting deco, I think it stands out from the rest easily. Nowadays, people go for like a more posh setting. But theirs felt more homely. Like a neighbourhood kinda feel. That's the vibe I get (but then again, that's my view)
It helps that the area (this particular area where we sat, outdoor seating) is windy!
For a moment felt like I was in overseas! *very happy* ( ´ ▽ ` )

Why the name sports bar?
I am guessing cause they specialize in showing sports HAHAHA
They have soooo many TVs around, each of them showing a diff kind of sport (or different sport channels) much to ah pek's delight.

Cause now he can watch MANY sports at one go instead of just one!

OR if one of them is having a break, he just have to shift his eyes to the next TV to watch the other!
so yea, so totally a BIG BONUS POINT for him.

They not only have sports, inside they have this live music area where musicians will sing (depending on schedule)

In my above photo, you will spot the sign "Pool Table Downstairs"
Another zone for the non-sports people to hang out!

If you want a posh, quiet & private area....that would be upstairs (☆ω☆)
I will leave that as a secret/surprise, you would have to go & see it for yourself!

What about the food?
 (¬‿¬ )

Food for me is important cause that's what I will be doing when ah pek is fully concentrated on the TV right!
(Stuffing my face HAHAH)

So surprised that everything was beyond what I was expecting (゚〇゚!!)
(cause you know...pubs are usually more for drinking, not for the food)

Pork Satay

PORK. PORK satay. Such a rare satay & they have it here! (Honestly, I really hardly see pork satay being sold in KL)
& safe to say, it was yummeh! It was tender & a "just nice" ratio of the fatty bits for maximum juiciness. I recalled the price was a bit steep, but it was worthy!

Charred Grilled Chicken Wings

Most importantly, it wasn't overcooked! This comes close to my mom's awesome homemade wings.
Verrrrrry close.

Prawn Wrapped With Popiah Skin
  (New on the menu!)

I wished I took Eric's & Caroline's expression when they ate this. HAHA their face totally showed how awesome this was. The prawns were fresh (which is important!) and with the thai sauce (that I generally love), it's a good combo!

Bacon & Ham Pizza

If you love pizza & pork, you must order this!
This came the last, by then I was so full (cus everything was yummy? So I was greedily whacking away) I wished I had external tummy so I can eat summore of this pizza! (╥﹏╥)

Smoked Salmon Bruschetta

A "never can go wrong" combo! I am bias towards anything smoked salmon!

Lamb Shank

The biggest shock of the night, was this lamb shank.
It was HUGE!
and it was priced at RM30! (゚ロ゚) !
Totally affordable & I would safely say that it's sharing portion! (Unless you are a huge eater, then of course, by all means, enjoy it wholesomely! All to yourself!)

Of course, the night isn't complete without drinks!

They have a WIDE variety & I am sure everyone would be able to find something suitable to their taste buds!
For me, I'm sticking to my usual cider! So happy to see it here!

Hahaha! Thought this was something new to me!

Men's night!

I always always see ladies' night!
But men's night is definitely the first for me!

Quite cute right?! (^▽^)
Ah pek was like as happy as a small boy seeing candy when he saw that signboard.
So....if you guys are like ah pek & me, (same equation as us or not) Front Page Sports Bar is definitely the place to go! (*´︶`*)

Happiness delivery

Was dying of hunger when baby bro came back with a tesco plastic bag and passed it to me saying, 'Jie, take and process it!'

I reluctantly open it thinking it was some grocery I have to unpack when all I saw was these cakes!

"Yee Ming!"

"Jie, no one says that! You are supposed to say cakes!-_-"

:P

P.s// Yee Ming is baby bro's chef friend who makes wonderful dishes and cakes. Always feeding us with some. So naturally I will remember him first right?!

Ironically mom came back 10 minutes later with cake again, as my lunch.

LOL???

Christmas in my mouth

Macarons From Whisk @ 1-Utama

No one understands why I love Macarons. Neither do I. It's sweet cause it's supposed to be eaten with non-sugared pure black bitter coffee. But I don't do coffee. I remember the first time I ate macarons, ah pek almost fainted upon looking at the bill. Priced at rm2.50 for one. He has then gotten used to it and now pays even much more for it. without realizing it I guess. He's worse than me in terms of sugar level though. At least I subdue the sweetness with plain h20. He pairs them with rich hot chocolate.

Marmalade @ Publika

 1. drove all the way to Publika for Marmalade. I laughed when I saw the signboard cause ah pek was saying he is gonna surprise me with a new cafe voucher he bought, but Marmalade has been here forever in Bangsar which he did not know existed.

2. the Last Polka selling at Marmalade. Sincerely, although there are many Last Polka ice-cream lovers out there, it feels like somewhat eating "Diet Ice-Cream". Lack of that Oomph that other fatty, not healthy ice-cream out there has.

3 & 4. Aglio Olio and Club Sandwich which surprisingly tasted damn good. The last time I ate at the Bangsar branch. Nothing was up to par and the carrot cake was one of the worst I have ever eaten after hearing a lady gushing over it over the counter when I was deciding which cake to order. Worst decision.

5. Salted Caramel Choc Cake cause I cannot not have dessert after meals. Redeemed whatever bad points Marmalade had from the bad Carrot Cake. Tasted better than what I expected. Made me miss the Salt Ice-Cream I had back in Japan again.

I Heart Yoghurt @ Kota Damansara

Wonder why is the place always empty. I personally like it. Maybe the fact that they don't play random crappy music add points to the place. But FREE toppings are really fun to play with! :D

of random wishing cats

hello. meet my baby bro's new wall deco.
say with me now!:D
sooooo cuuuuuutttttteeeeeeee~ i personally feel the cat on the right looks like him. big butt and all. hahahaha :D
his 40kg girlfriend bought for him knowing how much he wanted it for just rm35. cheaplor-_- so everyone at Mt.Kiara please go get it since they are clearing stock at 40% off hence the cheap price.

then i randomly started my random crap.
"oh wishing cat. hear my plea. i wanna eat tofu if you please."

my mom was like..."you hungry then we go eat lar-_-"
ate we did alright. but i was craving for something saucy and tofu-iy. sigh* why no one understands my love for tofu. (and dumplings and fried rice and penang kueh zhap and....many random food) T_T although i shouldn't be eating a lot cause my knee joints are failing on me. bleah.

but arh :D ms.sexay chan suddenly came and crash with rojak which has TOFU and SAUCE and....:D
my beloved sotong!
wahahahahahahaha:D
talk bout random wishes! it was the last thing i was expecting! :D:D:D:D
*happy*
omg so easy to make me happy. wathefunnyfishface.

hmm.....maybe i should wish for something more tmr. like a big box of cupcakes! :D

Meal Order 9994

Organic Recipe
B3-09-11, Casa Utama,
Lorong Lebuh Bandar Utama PJU 6A,
47400 PJ.
Tel : 03-7729 0236
Fax : 03-7729 023

i like vegetarian when they don't taste like one :D
laughs*
sometimes i really get baffled by all these vegetarian food. just cause you can't eat meat (or not supposed to) so you settle for superficial meat which in the end of the day feels like real to me....kinda defeating the whole purpose of going vegetarian.

the ironic thing is calling all "meat" dishes and end up with no veggies! might as well i go to a proper restaurant and order like 6 different kind of veggies right? arg* laughs* but we are humans and ar...this complexity makes us interesting as a whole (saving my own ass here)

anyway, i must have seen Organic Recipe's signboard (you know those, restaurant name. insert arrow pointing to loc) like more then 100 times. yes, cause i have to pass by that particular road to get home. ms.boob queen has tried it and LOVED the place. mom's is a vegetarian freelancer (eat by mood kind) so off we went.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
with clear directions, easily the restaurant can be located and seriously it was definitely way off from what i had in mind. they had an air conned area and non air conned. (smoking.non-smoking)(inside.outside) whatever works.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
the drink station is outside with lush greenery around. enough oxygen and air circulation.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
the inside had an area selling organic food items such as enzyme, rice, honey etc. it was a cross between cosy and chinese feel-_- like it's cosy cause of the colour theme but then again it was tables and tables packed like chinese restaurant. laughs*

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Fish. Rm11.90
taste was there. but then again anything with chilli base has taste. texture was not bad. haha not that it tasted like fish texture but you can feel it's organic-ness.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
yam basket. Rm13.90
the yam was not bad. but the veggie inside was only soso although i was like 'omg! pine nuts?!'. then again maybe cause bell peppers are not my favourite.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
seaweed rice ball. RM3.90
it was dry to me. at least i know the seaweed is confirm the unsalted healthy kind. you can actually taste the actual seaweed taste people use to cook soup. talking bout rice they serve white(RM1.50) and brown(RM3.00) not sure bout the white, but the brown rice was really dry and loose. maybe it's healthier that way (or maybe cause they put water while cooking it) i like my rice semi-sticky. thanks.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
popiah-ish salad. RM5.90
now i know, my mom chooses food that has pictures and food that has a varieties of colour-_- haha. this is definitely for the healthy. not bad with a tinge of some juice but if you feel like a cannibal that day skip this.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Tofu. RM10.90
Tofu will always be tofu.(although i love tofu to bits and pieces) it's the sauce that makes the difference unless the tofu is really great on it's own. nothing special to me.

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
Fruit Tea Rm9.90. RM3 for hot water refill.
so far i noticed vegetarian shops all serve super chun fruit teas like these. hahaha funny how people are willing to pay so much when it's actually simple to make at home.

But there was something that caught my attention in the menu that i wanted to try but no one wanted to support my decision.

Tom Yum soup in COCONUT. omg. must be heavenly. feels and sounds heavenly. argh* i shall go back 2nd round although everything i ate wasn't much to scream for!! ROAR.
