The Bread Shop at Bukit Damansara

The Bread Shop

Bukit Damansara,
50490 Kuala Lumpur
Telephone: 03-2093 8734
Business hour: Mon-Fri(8am-7:30pm), Saturday(8am-5pm), closed on Sundays

atas price for atas looking everyday bread. baby brother introduced this place. to him, it's not about cheap versus expensive. to him it's always quality vs price. to him for the quality of bread they are serving, it deserves the slightly overpriced price. laughs*

hot cross bun, hot cross bun, one a penny, two a penny, hot cross bun
baby brother's ultimate fav. from this shop

sausage bun & croissant.
did not eat the croissant but the sausage bun i tapao-ed it all into my tummy! i was surprised myself that i finished it all up! laughs* one bite led to another and next thing i knew it was all gone! before we even reached home!-_-

*custard bun*

the custard inside! yums!*
filled to the brim! not like those bread shops that i have to eat all the way to the middle to actually eat some custard..and at most just a bite of custard and it's gone! ROAR! don't call it custard bun then! call it DIET custard bun!-_-!

went back several times after this, to try the many other kinds they have to offer esp the chocolate danish that my bro loves and the banana butterscotch danish that made mom happy. i recalled this grandmama who was buying bread and the worker recommended "this is one of our best seller!" and she said " what?! you are telling me to buy your BAD SELLER? clear stock?!"

hahahah i don't know whose face was more priceless. the worker upon hearing her remark or the grandmamas, utter shock at the wrong thing she has heard. i was just trying hard not to laugh. hahahahaha

overall, nice bread but for the kind of price tag that comes with it, either eat it occasionally or earn more money ! laughs* kamsiah*

oh! must remember to buy scones for mom to test taste next round~~

Sock Dolls

Was killing time at MPH one day when I saw a "How to Make Dolls out of Socks" book. It was DAMN CUTE and I would have bought it on the spot ...if it wasn't in Chinese-_-! *knocks head on wall for being banana* Seriously, one of the biggest drawback for being a banana is that you can't save EONS of money from all these Chinese translated from another language art books. Any art book that is translated to Chinese easily costs 30-40% less then the original language the book comes in. bah!

But...
I bought it anyway.
:P
as a gift for ms.chan.
hahahahahahah
It was soooo cute that.....I wanna be greedy and not let any person have it! Differentlarh when I know exactly who is owning it (so silly right?! MPH will restock -_- plus they have outlets everywhere!) plus she did mention before that she was interested in making some handicraft...so might as well larh.

Well, one good deed deserves another.

Cause, her first handmade doll from the book is now MINE! :D

wheeeee. meet....ms.yuen yuen (also means round but in Chinese)

it's actually a Matryoshka Doll (Russian doll) and supposed to be small and cute(from what I remember seeing in the book)  She said it was a "failed" doll but not like I care and it IS damn cute.

Plus only one in the world! hahahahah :P

yes, those are my clothes behind and my newly bought xmas earrings ( I can still remember ms.chan's look when she saw me wearing wreath earrings for xmas :P)

sooooo cutttteeeee...it can't even stand straight. hahahah I feel like poking it everytime to make it tip over. too bad it doesn't wobble. would be cute to see it wobble like Darumas. Upon posting it on Facebook, the amount of people commenting is like O_O I hardly get comments so to see many notifications is just plain crazy. The amount of people asking her to make for them is crazy too. I think non of us foresee this. It's as simple as me buying the book out of the blue for her and her wanting to do something to kill her excess free time.

She's a fast one-_- next thing I knew, another was "born!" Equally cute! :D
It even comes with a one sided sock-_- wthethaifishcakes.

Baby brother abusing it maximum. hahahaha :D By now, my family is telling her to quit her job and prolly concentrate on mass producing this instead. Ms.Chan's look of "wathebbqsauce?" She said it's easier to churn money sitting behind a desk in office then sewing a doll. *laughs* Well, at least now I know why are handmade items soooo expensive / price tag seems to be higher then normal mass produced items.

                                                       The perfectly symmetry back-_-
Abusing to a different level all together.

The brand new "line" she's currently sewing. *laughs* which I think also had the most feedbacks. She did prolly a grand total of 3 copied ideas from the book (which had like eons of different kinds you can do) and right after that she started creating her own ones. -_- I don't know how she does it and I will prolly never get it. In anycase, it only gets cuter and cuter. Seriously, look at the bear above. Can you imagine it was a SOCK in the first place?! I can't even comprehend which part is which! O_O Epic cuteness in a different way from the normal cuteness. It even comes with a pocket and bow tie leh!

Seriously, I think they would make veryvery good baby toys.

Canoodling @ bangsar village II

have always wanted to try the place cause of the wonderful deco from the outside itself:)what to do. i'm superficial. hahaha~

finally a chance came when by chance i was at BVII with mom and with mom she basically ALL IN for anything new~ yay me!

the place was mainly yellow theme in a glance (see menu) with neat and clean settings and with the wonderful hanging table lamps at one end of the cafe/restaurant must have captured many people's eyes. hahaha esp. my mom.

"rice-taurant" menu is on the right. next to canoodling and opened by the same group. (uh*hm, the group that runs 'plan b', 'ms.read', 't42' etc.)

the interesting part (to me, other then the wonderful yellow colour utensils used) was the blank piece of white paper used as 'tablecloth' cause it is used to doodle all you want. laughs* my table next door had 2 kids happily doodling away. good way to distract the kids from making noise or having something to do while waiting for the food. i rather see kids draw and stick their noses into their latest ipad/itouch-_- it's like the world around them suddenly disappears. bah.

the only other place that i remember having this was Avanti at Sunway Resort. went there 3 years? ago for christmas *laughs* going with a bunch of art students meant a paper full of rubbish drawings by the time we were done with the lunch buffet.

some seafood mee if i wasn't wrong. simple meehoon is what i feel, taste like ham choy soup. nothing to shout about but the soup was salty enough for me...mom thought it was overpowering. well, all the more for me then! :P
rojak! surprisingly this was really not bad. laughs* polished it off. lose to some roadside SS2 pasar malam rojak that i ate last monday but for a restaurant standard i think it's really not bad. mom loved it and she was surprised to see tauge inside hahaha

for the environment, i think price wise (around rm10-ish) is still fine. but if i were to go back though, would try the more exotic dishes they had on the right side of the menu! some peanut butter sauce mee! laughs* mom REFUSED to take it. hahaha

tiramisu at Espressamente Illy, Bangsar Village I.
right at the bridge between BVI and II, brought mom there cause a friend ooh-ed and aah-ed over the coffee they served. hahaha well, it IS illy. definitely can't go much wrong with that!

for a non coffee drinker (coming from a family that drinks coffee religiously, funny that i don't-_- i do drink BLACK coffee though, no sugar nor milk. but that's like really rare) i present you their tiramisu priced at rm14, it was not bad but there was no kahlua taste and tons of coffee used to sub it. kuakuakua. but overall, it wasn't bad but i doubt i will pay rm14 for it as my mom makes better tiramisu! WITH enough kahlua. (the alcohol used when making tiramisu)

mom took the caffe latte, which she happily polished off and no complains in between. (very good sign haha you should see her complain once bout bad coffee) priced at rm10.

total was supposed to be rm14 exc tax. but at tea time, (was there around 3-ish?) a slice of cake and coffee, both at your choice is at rm18 exc tax.

spent the afternoon gossiping with mom. yes, we exchange gossips. laughs* her friends and mine. not every nitty gritty detail but enough to know what's going on in each other's circle of friends. despite how much i can't stand my mom sometimes and the amount of "arguements" we have, moments like these i know i should treasure it and yes, it is a love but beh tahan relationship with my mom. laughs*

hahaha :D
seriously, babies have magical powers
they make you forget everything and the world seems like a better place (with flowers and hope around) hahaha~

kaima sylvia giving baby gen kisses ~
haha don't know how many million kisses a baby receives on normal basis!
esp. from their own mom (hor Koh Ping :D)
baby gen i wan kiskis! T_T

baby gen stick to kaima only. no paopao to people she don't recognize. so me and pocky T_T
have to do extra work to earn her trust and love...T_T hahaha
1st step : play peek-a-boo~!

keke! nice picture (cause i take wan! haha)
i like this picture soso much! such a loving picture~
i think if got money, mothers should have a photography session with their babies like how ppl have their pre-wedding shots:)

*whispers*
30 years down the road, you may/or may not love your hubby as much as before but with that same amount of years, you will still love your children. so more worth to do a photoshoot with your baby then loukong :P
ops!*

ahpek pocky conned baby gen lorh!
he was teasing her with toys and when she was getting nearer, crawling to get the toys that he hid from her, he SUDDENLY picked her up and placed her on his lap! O_o
see her shocked/WTF look hahahahhahahaha
she nice enough not to bite him!
we have to teach her edy. 8 months got teeth jor!

bulat putting a "show" for baby gen.
hahahaha
i think almost everything also we do edy.
all kinds of actions, all kinds of toy, all kinds of reactions, all kinds of sound.
-_-!

beh tahan so cute
hahahah
maciam the kena bully look. the things that all of us were doing just to get a decent shot and to show how bodo the mickey toy look (pocky say wan! i thought look cuteleh! baby toy is like that de ma)

and baby gen's speciality is ......DROOLING.
hahahhaahhahaha :D
and for an 8 month old, she can hold her biscuit, pull kaima's necklace(which my mom say is common cause they are learning so they usually will grab anything) AND stand.
she veryvery keng edy!! O_o

the next time we gonna visit, i am sure she's gonna be running around laughs*
and it just feels like yesterday me and sylvia went to witness Koh Ping's ROM. time really flies. it's scary hahaha

birthmas!*

Birthday + Christmas
hahaha
the merged word doesn't sound nice but the festives were good!
both of 'em
(pada'hal birthday and christmas are 25 days apart but it feels like it's merged with all the decos up early! :D yay)

The highlights would be :

CAKE! :D
i cannot (i can but lazy) count how many i had this year. friends buy. mom buy. I buy. pocky buy. since i'm a dessert fanatic, i can be a total a** if the dessert sucks but thankfully this year all rocked :D not like they all dropped from heaven (okay maybe some really tasted like heaven. yay!) but the fact that i know how much effort was gone into getting the best there is for me, i am truly grateful.
not so grateful that i prolly killed my sugar level that weekend cause i finished clean whatever desserts that was in the fridge. esp. whatever i bought. i bought more to share, mana tau everyone ask me to eat cause it's my birthday-_-

HAJIME! :D yay!
japanese rocks me socks (although i don't wear socks) anytime! :D:D *smilesmilesmile*
esp. good ones T_T!! nuoooo* comes with heavy price tag but comes with an equally satisfying tummy. look how happy pootchi is :D really looks like a buffet for him~ kakaka

of course must thank ah pek for putting effort in everything he did. knowing how lazy and cincai he can get (esp. judging from previous birthdays uh-hm*) this year he really gave 101% *seksek*
of course to everyone else who put effort in too for every other thing. you guys know what you all did la or didn't do wahaha (wah i so bad):D
*gam-dong*

i think one of the bestbest-est christmas present i bought (or sharedT_T ...shared not even half ceh) for this year :D super cute despite everyone who said it was ugly. SUPER REGRET i did not get one for myself T_T cause it is sold out everywhere now inc. display sets. sigh* budgetlar. budget some more sniff* T_T

but prolly this is also the year i felt like i spent a lot on presents. almost everyone i knew got one. cause they each deserve something for being someone in my life :)
(although got some did not get to give cause did not manage to hunt T_T compensated with food pulak. yes, yes i still 'pin sam' cause my girlfriends are really more important and they did muchmuch more and all with an open heart)

and what's xmas without taking pictures with the deco?! :D
managed to see quite a lot this year although no photos of all T_T
but is okay. me still a happy lil girl!! :D

2011 MALI LA!

bodoby and cody on "chuzzles" with iphone.

at the other side of the table is my other 2 friends who are equally indulged in the same game but using itouch-_-

*aiks* caught in action :P

anyway-_- amazing what technology can do. they can fill up your time (with not much efficiency but better then doing nothing i guess..but what happen to the old fashion way of reading books?!) and make you get closer to people (i realized gaming really makes you closer to people)

but..

left me and pocky damn lonely-_- *roar*

*bitebite pocky's hand*

..i forgot-_- whathe. anyway it's pork.

Favourite Past Time

Sakai's Singing Session (S.S.S) hahaha :P
(i notice nowadays my photos are watermarked just for bodo blog...haha)
for Bodoby's viewing pleasure. i recalled she had to do something that day and we just had a last min karaoke session to finish up our Redbox vouchers :D (which i still have uh-hm*) and i took videos of the sakai's singing too :D later postpost~

ironically this was our last Redbox Karaoke cause after that...

TEOHENG at Giza all the way!!

it's crazy-_- started out as me persuading my mom to try the place out cause it was near and we never looked back since then. the first time my mom tried it was with me and eelyn-_- 4 days in a row we karaok-ed and straightaway mom was deemed VIP by the workers-_-

*hide face*
