it's that time again!!

40tripleD will be launching her new career. hahahah okay. she will be taking courses at 95%, her small baby steps to become a copywriter.

a frown was on my face on the 1st day of 2008 when i saw 2 pimples on my left cheek. so disturbing-_-

don't feel any difference. other than the 2 pimples. still fat. still short. still having small boobs and not enough hair on my brown. still having small hands. still having the same confused thoughts i have last year. smiling over a dream that happened the night before. it's like debit brought forward from the previous year to 2008.

2007 i did not achieve anything significant...well in my opinion, that is.

but i guess some things are worth mentioning.

. got a job
...not exactly. but heck, got my bum off the house. my mom was happy i was actually out there learning that life is definately not a bed of caramel sauce. i know it is not but i like to think so. during the whole process, cried countless times. fighting with my emotional self. it was extremely difficult for me. but i am ready for the next step. actually i am not, but i have to.

. changed spects
considering i have been wearing same spects since 15. that makes the spects 7 years old. losing it's purplesness. rusty and almost hanging on one side of the ear, was forced to change spects and went through a crazy time finding the right one with my friends -_-

. fell in love with foreign movies
watching jap/korean movies/dramas has been on going for long. but ever since i watch my first french movie with sexay chan. there was no turning back, continuously adding the list with other different languages.

. took up jap class
getting worse by the semester. but i am determined to finish at least till advance level if not i don't see the point i take it in the 1st place and so that i don't disappoint my dad..

. finalist for Gempak
did the 4 panel strip category. chose that category just to try my luck. for let's say the dateline was on the 5th, did it on the 2nd, sent on the 3rd with poslaju and just prayed it reached on time. did not win the top 3 prizes but heck: D

. finally drove
though i still cannot drive far cause i cannot remember roads for nuts. but i am sure my parents are glad that finally i am saving ample of their time. problem now is a car. *laughs*

. jacky cheung's concert
my first concert and it was free: P kuakuakua. thanks to ms.boss m(_ _)m it was really fun!! made "middle finger sign" and "rocker sign" with the big ass "hand looking" cardboards Maxis was giving out and waved them around. in the end, was screaming and singing like some lunatic although i don't know any of his songs nor am i a big fan of his.

. went for the haagen dazs buffet
what more can you ask for when you love desserts so much: D unfortunately, i found out i don't like their vanilla ice cream cause it has a slight taste of coconut and i lost to mom who ate damn a lot of scoops-_-

yay!! a list of useless things that i have done or at least remembered for 2007.

i don't know what 2008 has to offer. i do have some plans in mind, but i will just hope for the best: D: D: D

today i witnessed a real life scenario in a shoe way

i wanted to get slippers and the guy went to get the other side of the slippers cause it was the last pair. the other side was still on display. while i was pointing to the salesman that i wanted the pair. another girl and her mom was there as well eyeing the same pair.

"tat wan last pair wor"

the girl's mom heard and so she took the other pair as the daughter wanted it. they took it to try. i was by now holding the other pair of slipper that the man gave to me.

you know the feeling when you stand there in the midst of a 12-13 year old girl, the type that 'the mom doesnt let her do 1001 things cause it is not a proper girl thing to do and whatever mom does is the best for you' type of girl? ...so she was trying on the slipper as she was wearing shoes.

her mom who was being "if my girl wants it, she gets it"

my mom who was keeping quiet cause she has passed the phase of helping your daughter and your daughter at a double digit age should know how to kaotim herself and that every action she does is now her own responsibility and she has no right to say anything even if the result was not what she wanted cause she asked for it.

i stood there in the midst of all these emotions surrounding me...

went to the daughter and gave her to try the other side. she just smiled back at me.

i guess she liked it cause her mom went to pay for the slipper. all the while knowing i gave in the slipper cause she was there as well. not saying a word. not giving me a single gesture of thanks. as she was paying, the sales guy was stopping her saying " sorry, but this girl took it first. she has the upperhand of whether she wants it a not, although your daughter tried it"

but at that very moment, i just went " nvm, she can have it"

her mom just had the " SEEE, she said it wan ar. not my problem."

and my mom had the "WHAT? are you stupid?! you have been wanting that slipper for so long. now you are giving it away?!"

at that moment....well...i just have to find another slipper obviously. what do you want me to do? since it has been done, some things you just cant go..oh sorry...and i just cant go regretting as i know there will be other slippers out there but seeing my fussy style it is going to be very long before i find something i really want or willing to pay for.

it striked me where..mothers really go all the way to get something...Laughs

update: whole family just went out. i don't know i should be glad or sad...but this was what was happening the whole morning.



tonight is the wedding T_T Lord gimme strength so that i can go through the 2 hours with much sanity..though i have to be there almost 6 hours not 2-_- aiaiaiai

and i am up at 730am to do my work! T_TT_T gimme strength to finish it on time.. T_TT_T i miss having free time ..sometimes

: D : D when i was in college, we would complain that 2-3 weeks holidays are too short. the fact that that homework always came with the holiday in a package. so....suddenly it seems a lot shorter(actually..heck, we usually do not finish the homework given: P)

to me it was a not bad movie....realistically speaking. it CAN happen. i mean WHY NOT? man and woman meet by accident. falls in love. blindly. gets married. big hopes. big dreams. priorities change. woman dreams big. makes it big. gets blinded by riches. man wants to be simple. live simple. be simple. etcetcetc. basically what happens when there is a disconnection with one another or what money does to you....i believe such scenarios ARE happening right now. this era or more in the future.
